Message from the outgoing Chairman

It is 4 years since MAHECAS (UK) was started. As you can tell from the Newsletter we have had a considerable success in providing medical equipment and other items for various selected hospitals in Malawi. This has been achieved through the hard work put in by all of us in raising funds and by some individuals in organising fund raising functions. Everyone involved deserves a round of applause. There still remains a lot to be done in the coming years. How much will be done will depend on the continuing support its members give to MAHECAS (UK).

1999 sees the election of a new committee. I am stepping down as Chairman as required by our constitution. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support for me while I have been chairman. I would also like to thank all the members of the outgoing committee for their hard work during their term of office. The outgoing committee is confident that all members of MAHECAS (UK) will support the incoming committee at least as much as they did the outgoing one. There is still a lot that needs to be done and your vigorous support will be essential to achieve our goals.
