Over £7,000 aid to Malawi last year

Ntchisi Hospital : £952.50
Received a Vacuum Extractor with accessories for delivering babies, 3 basic Diagnostic Sets and 2 Sonicaids for monitoring foetal heart rate.

Chitipa Hospital : £3,888.10
From their long list, a Vacuum Extractor with accessories, one large and five small Ambu Suction machines, a Calorimeter, an electric Centrifuge, a complete Resuscitare set, 10 heavy duty surgeon's aprons and 7 Peadiatric Ambu Bags were sent.

Chikwawa Hospital
Communication problems with Chikwawa made it impossible for us to give them assistance this time.

Chatinkha Maternity, QECH
Received 10 operating light bulbs to enable the theatres to function again.

Zomba Mental Hospital : £1,200
Requested a Generator, 300 Beds, mattresses and blankets, 3 Electroconvulsive machines and a whole range of psychiatric medicines.
40 blankets and 40 mattresses were bought in Malawi at a cost of over £1,200. 3 electroconvulsive machines acquired from a Wirral hospital at a cost of £20 were also sent, (similar machines cost over £3,700 each when new).

Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital and Lilongwe Central Hospital
Shared 10,000 pairs of examination gloves and 1,000 pairs of sterile surgical gloves.
