Mrs. J. Dennis, a senior physiotherapist at Addenbooke's Hospital, Cambridge, went to Malawi on a six week working visit.
On her return, she set to collect walking frames, clutches, tripods and other walking aids from her local hospitals to help
MAP who lacked this basic equipment for their patients.
With the money she raised locally and some from the Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) and a little from MAHECAS she air freighted the 53 packages utilising a 25% discount accorded to MAHECAS (UK) by Air Malawi.
On behalf of MAP and their patients, MAHECAS (UK) would like to thank Mrs Dennis, the VSO and Air Malawi for their assistance.
We hope she will continue to help.
