The Age Of Giving

Our standard events continue to serve us well, the Essex dinner-dance, the sponsored walk in Wales, the food tasting in Boston and our annual event in Liverpool. These events along with regular donations from supporters have given us an annual income of about £7,000. Everyone will agree, I have no doubt, that this money has been put to a most effective use answering some very basic needs in district hospitals, a mental hospital and various health centres around Malawi.

Now is the time to look ahead and see what more we can do. Gordon Brown has called this turn of the millennium a new age of giving and is encouraging a greater involvement in charity by all of us. Now is the time to work towards an annual income exceeding £10,000 and to look how MAHECAS can help people, who are aware of the plight of those in need of health care in Malawi, to make a much needed contribution.

This is what is needed:

How can YOU help ?
