Well Done St. Botolphs

Doctors in Malawi will be the latest to receive a helping hand following a huge fundraising effort by the Rotary club of St. Botolph.

The local group has raised a total of £2,727.70 over the past year, which will go directly to helping the country's doctors buy essential medicines and kit.

The cash will be used by Malawi Health Care Support, a charitable trust dedicated to acquiring equipment and support for the poorest areas of the country.

The money is being donated through Dr. Matiti, who has never forgotten the difficulties being faced by the country's medical staff. Stuart Hemmings (centre) is pictured handing Dr. Matiti the much needed money on Wednesday 16th November 2000.
